The Laws of Stormwind

Laws of Stormwind (MUST READ)
The following are the most common laws and punishments of the Kingdom of Stormwind, as was made decree by his majesty King Varian Wrynn.

Law: Should thou choose to partake of alcohol in public, thou shall do so in a dignified manner. The yelling of obsceneties and/or exhibiting of ruffianism shall not be tolerated.

Punishment if broken: One warning.
If caught reoffending: One night's stay in the Stockade's drunkard ward.


Law: Thou shall respect the holy grounds of the Cathedral, for it represents the purity and strength of the Alliance.

Punishment if broken: One warning
If caught reoffending: Offender shall be asked to leave the premesis. Failure to comply will result in arrest, and one night's stay in the Stockade's drunkard ward.


Law: Citizens may question, but shall not speak words of Treason against, their King.

Punishment if broken: Varies by severity of incident.
If caught reoffending: Offender may be subject to Execution or additional Stockade sentancing.


Law: Citizens will refrain from abuse, either verbal or physical, of military personnel.

Punishment if broken: Varies by severity of incident.
If caught reoffending: Offender may be subject to Execution or additional Stockade sentancing.


Law: Thou shall not steal from thy fellow men of the Alliance.

Punishment if broken: Offender will be asked to return stolen goods. Failure to comply will result in Stockades sentancing or Community service.
If caught reoffending: Offender will be sentanced to the Stockades for additional time, or may have one hand severed.


Law: No two Citizens of the glorious Alliance shall engage in ill-willed fighting within city walls. All physical disputes, save the duties of military personnel, must be moved out of the gates to the forests.

Punishment if broken: Offenders will be asked to relocate dispute to legal ground outside the city walls. Failure to comply will see offenders separated until such a time that they can behave in a civil manner towards eachother.
If caught reoffending: Stockade sentancing may be enacted.


Law: Thou musn't appear in public unclothed. Public nudity is a barbaric practice of the Horde. Civilized people of the Alliance shall not show excessive ammounts of flesh like wildmen.

Punishment if broken: Citizen will be asked to cover his or herself. Failure to comply will result in arrest and one night's stay in the Stockade's drunkard ward, or Community Service.
If caught reoffending: Additional Stockade time may be applied. A third offense will see the Citizen's mental health tested. Citizen will also be placed in the company of a social assistant at all times.


Law: If borrowing a book from the Royal Library, Citizens must return the book on the date it is due.

Punishment if broken: Failure to return a borrowed piece of literature will be condemned as theft from the Royal Palace. Offenders will be heavily fined and temporarily banned from further borrowing of the Library's writings.
If caught reoffending: Citizen will be fined 1000 Gold Pieces and permanently banned from any use of the Royal Library.
Additonal note: Citizens found returning lost works, or donating new ones, will be rewarded by Library staff.


Law: Thou shall not intrude on the private premesis of another, uninvited.

Punishment if broken: Offender will be removed upon home or business owner's request and will spend one week in the Stockade's minimum security ward.
If caught reoffending: Offender will spend one month in the Stockade's medium security ward, and will perform Community Service following release.


Law: Thou shall not murder a fellow man within or without of the kingdom of Stormwind.

Punishment if broken: Offender will be sent to the Stockades or face execution, based on the severity of the incident and by the will of his majesty's court.
If caught reoffending: Offender will face execution by the will of his majesy's court.



Be aware of His Majesty's most fair of laws and abide by them! Complete lists of all laws within the Kingdom of Stormwind are available upon request from City Hall or the military's Command Center in Old Town. Remember, people of Stormwind and visitor alike are responsible for making Stormwind a shining symbol of human prowess! Do your part and obey the words of the King, as listed here!
